Danny Wayne Watkins
Danny Wayne Watkins, age 80, died Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Eastgate Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Danny was born on September 30, 1939 in Washington to James Edgar Watkins and Velma (Roach). He graduated from Washington High School in 1957. Danny worked for the State highway and was a substitute teacher at Washington High School. Danny was also in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne. Danny was a certified trainer for trapping and a member of Trapping Hall of Fame. He was also a girls softball coach, President of Lady Hatchet Booster Club and Boy Scouts and a Free Methodist Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his wife Connie (Lucas) Watkins who he married May 1, 1959; son Bryan Watkins of Washington; three daughters Lisa (Chris) Ramsey of Washington, Dan’elle Watkins of Florida and Teresa Stumpf of Rockville; sister LaDonna Latkowski of Chicago; seven grandchildren Courtney Watkins, Jamie Watkins, Andrew Ramsey, Michael Ramsey, Emily Ramsey, Abigail Watkins and Andrea Walker and four great-grandchildren Sean Watkins, Xavier Watkins, Magdalene Watkins and Kolten Watkins.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 10:00 am at Washington Free Methodist Church with Rev. Byron Holtsclaw and Pastor Adam Conder officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites by Washington American Legion and VFW
Visitation will be Tuesday January, 7, 2020 at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:00 am till the hour of Services.
