Robert G. Mathis

Robert G. Mathis, age 71, of Washington, passed away at on Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

He was born January 5, 1947 in Washington to Charles and Virginia (Ross) Mathis. He had worked for Niehaus Lumber and was a member of the Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and trapping turtles.

He is survived by daughter, Trixie Mathis of Hicksville, Ohio; brothers, Clyde “Bud” Mathis of St Francisville, Illinois, George Dale Mathis of Washington, Charles Thomas Mathis of Washington, Francis Ray Mathis, Fred Lee Mathis and Joseph Mark Mathis all of Washington; sisters, Judy Wininger of Washington, Esther May Jones of Washington, Marilyn Fay Street of Huntington, and Carolyn May Sullivan of Washington; six grandchildren, Steven Ray Roberts, Olivia Arlene Hepworth, Tristan Paige Mathis, Robert Mathis, Jessica Nieves Jerger and Christian Nieves; two great-grandchildren, Julius Roberts and Marcus Roberts; best friend, Bryan Westbrook of Washington

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Trina Mathis; sister, Betty Jane Mathis and Ginny Orchard.
