Karen S. Burkhart

Karen S. Burkhart, age 56, of Montgomery, passed away on Monday at 12:20 AM at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born on February 4, 1957 in Washington to Wayne and Emma (Allen) Harder. She was a 1976 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She was a School Bus Driver for Bus Corp.She enjoyed camping and Playing cards, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Steve Burkhart whom she married on May 27, 1978; one daughter, and son in-law, Nadine and Chris Hudson of Washington; one son and daughter in-law, Max and Starla Burkhart of Otwell; her mother, Emma Harder of Washington; two sister, Wanda Clark of Bloomington and Debra Gladish of Montgomery; one brother, Jerrold Harder of Cannelburg; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary WITH Bro. Matt Merold officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary.[more]
