Charles D. Brown, 79, passed away St Marys Hospital in Evansville on April 18, 2017. He was born in Washington on February 25, 1938 to Arthur and Edith (Patterson) Brown. He graduated from Plainville High School in 1956. He served in the United States Army for 12 years and retired from Daviess County Highway Department. He is survived by four brothers; Fred Brown of Vincennes, Carl Brown of Washington, Jack Brown of Indianapolis and Jim Brown of Plainville; three sisters, Marjorie Donaldson of Washington, Betty Litherland of Washington and Jaunita Rudd of Raymore, Missouri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arthur Lee Brown and Robert E Brown and sister, Helen Walters. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Ashley Shurtz officiating. Burial will follow in Plainville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Military graveside rites conducted by the Washington American Legion and the VFW.
