Leroy Schatz

Leroy Schatz, age 41, of Washington, passed away at 5:55 PM on Monday, July 4th 2016 at St Mary''s Medical center in Evansville. He was born on May 18, 1975 in Baltimore City , Maryland to Carl and Susan (Baker) Schatz. He was a graduate of Plainfield High School in Plainfield, New Jersey and received a Machinist Mechanic certification from a trade school. He was working at K and K Industries. He loved spending time with family, camping, old cars, and the great outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his granddaughter, Kali. He is survived by his wife, Sherri (Booker) Schatz who he married on February 21, 2008; two step-sons, Andrew Booker of Evansville and DJ (Tabby) Gregory of Lyons; one granddaughter, Kali Gregory of Lyons; a special Aunt and Uncle who help raise him, Pat and Paul Clark of Westfield, New Jersey; and his loving dogs, Buster, Lucky, and Pacaro. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Dave Swartz officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
