Jack J. Purdue, age 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, January 7, 2019, at 1:58 AM at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 28, 1936 in Washington to Lowell and Mary (Way) Purdue. He attended Washington High School and retired from ACME Metal in Jasper. He enjoyed working with his brother, Danny Purdue, doing carpenter work, fishing, mushroom hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Mae (Thomas) Radcliffe of Washington; son, Jack Joe (Melody) Purdue of Washington; brothers, Danny (Kathy) Purdue, Larry Purdue, Robert (Lydia) Purdue and Frank (Joan) Purdue all of Washington; six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, 620 E Viola Ave, with Pastor Cameron Gladish officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel, and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. till service time.
