Rose Eileen Theroff, 87, of Washington, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday at Hillside Manor Nursing Home. Born September 12, 1924, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Everett Thomas and Rose (Kidwell) Alford. She graduated from Washington High School in 1942. She had retired from the Old Reliance Factory and owned and operated Theroff Motel. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters and son- in-laws, Marilyn (Dennis) Lenahan of Indianapolis, and Beverly (Delbert) Riker of Washington, Three sons and daughter-in-laws, Richard (Joni) Theroff of Washington, Kevin (Arlene) Theroff of Linton and Mark (Trena) Theroff of Washington; fourteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Lenas Theroff, July 29,1984 and three brothers, Richard Alford, James Alford and William Alford; four sisters, Lorena Walker, Dorothy Chastain, Sarah Webber and Cleo Brochin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30 A.M. on Saturday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
