Eileen Mangin age 84 of Washington passed away on Sunday at 9:45 PM at Bridge Pointe Health Campus in Vincennes. She was born on December 22, 1922 in Loogootee to the late Walter J. and Mae (Lents) Gootee . She was a 1941 Graduate of St. John High School in Loogootee and was a Member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She had worked for Thompson Insurance and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Surviving are four sons and daughters in-law, James Albert and Carolyn Mangin of Washington, Philip Earl and Wendy Mangin of Vincennes, Roger M. Mangin of Colorado Spring, Co. and Greg and Lou Ann Mangin of Otwell; two daughters and sons in-law, Barbara Jean and Steve McBride of Evansville, and Carol Ann and Gerry Gorman of Evansville; eleven grandchildren, Kelly Buttrum and husband, David of Evansville, Jeff Gorman and his wife Amy of Evansville, Kerry Wesner and her husband Chris of Cincinnati. wife Kimberly of USMC San Diego, Ca; and 16 great Grandchildren She was preceded by her husband, Albert Earl Mangin on December 29, 2005, whom she had married on June 18, 1942. Also preceding her in death were one son, Albert R. Mangin; four brothers; and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church with a wake service at 4 PM Condolences may be made online at www.edleemortuary.com.
