James A. Mangin

James A. Mangin age 70, of Washington, passed away on Friday at 10:55 PM at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He was born on September 8, 1938 in Daviess County to Austin A. and Thelma E. (Capehart) Mangin. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, A.C. Tractor Club and was a 1956 Graduate of Montgomery High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army Reserves. Jim spent 15 years working for UniRoyal and retired after more than 25 years of devoted service for NASCO. Jim had a great love for gardening and sharing the harvest of that love with his many former co-workers, family and friends. He will be missed by his pug bog, Heidi who road alongside him will he mowed the lawn. He was preceded in death by his Parents, one son Troy James Mangin; two brothers, Bernard Mangin and Jerry Mangin; and his mother in-law, Frankie Wilson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Washington with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will be at a later date.
