Guy, age 85, died January 8, 2015 at 10:45 p.m. at Schnok Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana. She was born August 13, 1929 in Washington to Blanch and Fred Gress. She was a 1946 Washington High School graduate and had worked at Spiegal, Carlton Jewelry, and Larkin''s Red & White Grocery. Rita was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Daughters of Isabelle, Ladies Moose Auxillary, and Legion of Mary. She volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul store for over 30 years, for CYO at St. Mary Catholic School and St. Mary Church, served on St. Mary Parish council, and served on the board at St. Vincent DePaul and was treasurer for several years for conference. She received the Brute Society Award from the Diocese of Evansville and the Daviess County RSVP Volunteer Award. She is survived by a son; David (Lynn) Guy of Bloomfield, daughter; Jan (Dan) Megel of North Vernon, and a brother; Darrell Gress of Ohio, grandchildren Lisa (Kevin) Vogel, Sarah (Jason) Ramey, John (Kim) Megel, Rebecca (Chadd) Stone, Stacy (Joey) Hollis, Jason (Jessie) Guy and Andra Hollis, and special friends Kathy and Bill Thompson of Odon.
