Norman P. Bouchie
Norman Paul Bouchie, 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 6, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on October 15, 1930, in Vincennes to Cyril and Irene (Mouzin) Bouchie. He attended Vincennes schools and Washington Catholic High School. He served in the Indiana National Guard for six years. He was a retired farmer and had worked at McCord Corporation and Superior Steel Ball in Washington. Norm was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Norm loved watching basketball and baseball, especially the Duke Blue Devils and the New York Yankees, and going to the YMCA to swim. Norm is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carolyn (Craney) Bouchie, his brother, Cyril "Bud" (Ginny) Bouchie of Indianapolis, and his children, Susan (Ed) Zipperle, Randy (Connie) Bouchie, Steve (Lisa) Bouchie, and Tom (Beverly) Bouchie all of Washington; step-children, Rob (Christine) McCormick, Pam Combs, and Rick McCormick all of Washington; grandchildren Corey (Teri) Bouchie, Carey Bouchie, Bryan Bouchie, Jordan (Shaleigh) Bouchie, Ashley Bouchie, Brandon Zipperle, Michelle Zipperle, and Eric Zipperle all of Washington, and Dustin (Cheryl) Graves of Indianapolis; step-grandchildren,...[more]View Full Online Obituary and Tributes
ber Combs, William McCormick, Joe McCormick, Abigail McCormick, and Margaret McCormick; great-grandchildren, Kaden Bouchie, Caleb Bouchie, Bradley Norman Bouchie, Hudson Cox, Willa Ash, Orion Guy, Kaila Graves, and Veera Graves. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Irene (Mouzin) Bouchie, his first wife of 24 years, Carrey (Bline) Bouchie, his oldest son, Ronald Paul Bouchie, and step-son-in-law, Dirk Combs. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, April 10, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Washington at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Washington. Visitation will be Thursday, April 9, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are being made through the Ed Lee Mortuary.
