Maud H. Forbes

Maud Helen Forbes 98, went to be with her Lord on July 12, 2006. She was born on April 28, 1908 to the late Isom and Alice (Bateman) Fitch. On March 5, 1936 she married J. Franklin (Frank) Forbes who preceded her in death on June 22, 1996. She was a homemaker known for her excellent cooking and baking. She was a longtime member of Central Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Christian Womans Fellowship. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an avid Pacers fan and loved to fish and work in her garden. She has three daughters and son in laws; Nancy and Jim Quisenberry of Urbana, IL. Judith and Darwin Brustkern of Washington, and Linda Banks of Bicknell. She has five grandchildren; Lisa Bland of Washington, Michael Grannan and wife Laura of Bloomington, Larisa Moreland and husband John of Bicknell, Lucinda Rodrick and husband John of Oaktown, James Quisenberry and wife Jill of Urbana IL. d three nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters, four brothers, one grand-daughter Leslie Grannan and one grand-son Kurt Franklin Quisenberry. She was the last of her family. Maud was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be 4-8pm Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary. The funeral service will be held at Ed Lee Mortuary Sunday at 2pm. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Permanent Memorial Fund at Central Christian Church.
