Neil E. Gillum

Neil Gillum, 56, of Montgomery passed away at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday morning at his residence. Born October 14, 1951 in Frankfort, he was the son of Walter Dale and Blanche Elizabeth (Thompson) Gillum. A 1970 graduate of Frankfort High School, he was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and Montgomery Ruritain Club. He was employed with Crane for the past 29 years where he recently was a Navy Engineering Technician. He loved bass fishing and golfing. Surviving is his wife, Mary (Bradley) Gillum, whom he married July 4, 1974; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Kevin M. Gillum and Erik E.Gillum both of Charleston SC, and Scott W. and Tara Gillum of Evansville; a daughter, Lindsey E. Gillum of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Gregory Gillum of Fayetteville, AL, and Kirk Gillum of Mulberry; one sister Gail Denton of Granville, OH; and two grandchildren Emily M. Gillum and Landon I. Gillum both of Evansville. He is preceded in death by his parents. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Jim Koressel officiating.
