Ezra P. Beachy, age 89, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away March 12, 2017 at 6:48 AM at the Villages of Oak Ridge Nursing Home in Washington, Indiana. He was born on December 20, 1927 in Sherwood, Ohio to Jonas and Leah (Mast) Beachy. He retired from construction where he worked as carpenter. He was a member of the Bahia Vista Mennonite Church in Sarasota, Florida. He is survived by his wife Marge Graber, whom he married June 10, 2000; sons; Linford (Alicia) Beachy of Grant Pass, Oregon, David (Bonnie) Beachy of Goshen; daughters, Joann (Dale) Hasenick of Marcellus, Michigan, Rosene (Doug) Beachy-Eby of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Lester (Lorraine) Beachy of Des Moines, Iowa, John Henry (Emma) Beachy of Kalona, Iowa, Howard Beachy of Lebanon, Oregon; sisters, Esther Yoder of Kalona, Iowa and Fannie Beachy Shrock of Burlington, Missouri; stepson, Tony (Angie) Graber of Loogootee; stepdaughter, Shannon (Gary) Yoder of Montgomery; nine grandchildren, Brendon Eby, Eryn Eby, Delana Eby, Riana Hasenick, Jonas Beachy, Daniel Beachy, Leah Beachy, Josiah Beachy and Lucas Beachy; step grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) Kearby, Melissa (Eric) Yoder and Melinda Yoder, Tyanna Graber, Jake Grab...[more]

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Alice (Weaver) Beachy on November 18, 1995 whom he married September 8, 1956; brother, Walter Beachy; sister, Elizabeth Rogers; brothers in-law, Edwin Schrock and Ernest Yoder; sisters in-law, Leda Beachy and Elsie Beachy. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Providence Mennonite Church with Kevin Swartzentruber and Josh Swartzentruber officiating.
