Cecilia Ann Nolley

Cecilia Ann Nolley age 87, of Loogootee, passed away at 8:30 PM on Wednesday at Martin County Healthcare. She was the last of her family. She was born on August 17, 1925 in Loogootee to James L. and Clara (McCann) Arvin. She graduated 1943 from St. John Catholic School in Loogootee and was retired from NSWC Crane. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Loogootee. She enjoyed quilting as her pastime She is survived by three sons and daughters in-law, Edward R. and Tina Nolley, Frank G. Nolley and Dennis and Gina Nolley all of Loogootee; eight daughters, Jane and Jerry Bowling of Montgomery, Rachel and Burris of Sellersburg, Karin and Jim Chandler , Teresa Nolley of Loogootee, Sharon and Kevin Sutton, Donna Nolley, Helen and Clay Dearwester, Chris and Norman Bratton all of Loogootee; twenty three grand-children; and twenty two great grand-children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. "Poppy" Nolley who passed away December 30, 2001, whom she married June 5, 1948. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, September 22, 2012, St. Martin Catholic Church with Father Joseph Erbacher and Father Leo Kiesel as co-celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery.
