Don Clements

Don M. Clements age 61 of Washington passed away at 11:30 p.m. Sunday in Greene County. Born May 31, 1946 in Paoli, he was the son of Vance and Ruth (Marshall) Clements. He was a 1964 graduate of West Washington High School where he played baseball and basketball, attended Oakland City College on a baseball scholarship graduating in 1968, graduated from Indiana University, taught at Loogootee, Barr-Reeve, and Shoals coaching basketball and golf. In 1974 he became a State Farm agent and has owned and operated the State Farm Insurance agency since then. He was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church, the Washington Elks Lodge where he was a past exalted ruler, and the Glendale Masonic Lodge. He earned a certificate as a certified Life Underwriter and loved snow skiing, landscaping, cooking, walking, and attending all sporting events. Surviving is his wife, Judy (Mills) Clements whom he married August 17, 1968; one son, Michael Clements of Indianapolis; his mother, Ruth Clements of Loogootee; and a sister, Vanita Clements of Carmel.
