Leone M Craney, age 91, passed away February 25, 2015 at The Emerald Place in Washington, IN. She was born on March 22, 1923 in Troy IN to the late Leonard & Lillian (Wilson) Lasher. She graduated from St. Rose Academy in Vincennes, IN. Married John "Jack" Lynch on January 20, 1945 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1985. She married Thomas C. Craney April 9, 1988; and he also preceded her in death on April 14, 2012. She raised eight children , J Patrick Lynch of Anchorage, AK, Terry (Brenda) Lynch of California, Cathy (Joe) Kendall of Washington, Danny (Shelley) Lynch of Scotsdale, AZ, Shannon (Bob) Schwandner of Cape Coral, FL and Dennis Lynch of Washington. She had three step-daughters and their spouses, Linda & Arnold Sussman, Mary Ann & Mark Walton, Janet & Brad Steilmel and three stepsons & their spouses Fred (Janice) Craney , Jeff & Bev Craney, and Tim Craney, Eleven grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. er of Texas. She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Timothy Lynch, both parents, and two siblings, Julia Lasher and James Lasher. Our mother is remembered by her children for her tireless efforts on their behalf. One of her special talents, as remembered by her children, was splitting a half a gallon of neapolitan ice cream into equal portions for all eight children every Friday night. Condolences can be made on online to the Ed Lee Mortuary and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 69301 Old Boonville Hwy Suite B, Evansville, IN 47715. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
