Billie R. Stader

Billie Robert Stader age 78 of Washington passed away on Tuesday at 1:50 pm at his residence. He was born on October 5-1928 in Lawrence County, Illinois to the late Herschel and Jeannette (Evans) Stader. He married Joan McGee on December 21-1957 and she survives. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He had been a IGA Grocery Store manger in Bloomfield and Washington. He was a member of the Washington American Legion, VFW, and the Eagles. He was passed commander of the Bloomfield American Legion Post 196. He was a member of the Washington First Christian Church were he had served as a deacon and elder, and also was a member of the Kum Double Class. Surviving is his wife; one son, John Michael Stader of Lake Worth, Florida; one daughter and son in-law,Susan and Paul Myers of Sullivan, In.; one brother Herschel Stader Jr. of Washington; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Helen Marie Stader and one daughter in-law, Kimberly Stader.
