Cathy Elaine Smith

Cathy Elaine (Palmertree) Smith, age 63, of Washington, passed away at 1: 15 AM on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at her home. She was born on August 6, 1952 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Percy C. and Lilly Jean (Watkins) Palmertree. She had attended Washington High School, and had worked at the Brass Lantern and J and S Medcab. She enjoyed camping at Prides Creek. She is survived by her husband, Paul Smith whom she married on March 1, 1988; one daughter, Nikki Clauss Lunsford; two sons, Brad Clauss of Madisonville, Kentucky and Jeff (Jeri) Smith of Vincennes; special dad, Frank Saulnier of Washington; one sister, Diane Palmertree VanAlsine of Washington; eight grandchildren, Michael Clauss, Kayla Clauss, Jakob Clauss, Hannah Clauss, Emily Lunsford, Haven Lunsford, Kenzi Lunsford, and Taylor Smith. Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Saulnier; and one brother, Larry Palmertree. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary..
