Agnes (Newland) Bailey, age 97, of Washington, passed away Saturday afternoon in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was born on March 3, 1914 in Washington to Arthur and Mary Ann (Donahue) Newland. She was a Washington Catholic High School and attended Vincennes University. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She was a retired libraren from Washington Catholic Schools. She is survived by one daughter and son in-law, Susan and Warren Elliott of Green Bay, Wisconsin; on son and daughter in-law, Stephen and Ruthann Bailey of Tampa, Florida; one brother James Newland of Indianapolis;and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waldo Bailey on April 25, 1965; three sisters, Dorothy Goodrich, Sr. Helen Rose Newland, S.P. and Margaret Williams; and three brothers, John Newland, Robert Newland, Paul Newland. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
