Doyle Sullivan
October 1, 1933 – June 28, 2019
Doyle Sullivan of Washington, passed away at 3:20 PM on Friday, June 28, 2019, in Petersburg, Indiana. He was born in Washington, Indiana, to Roy and Goldie (Hitch) Sullivan on October 1, 1933.
Doyle was a member of the Bethany Christian Church and the Washington Eagles. He loved gardening and gave much of what he produced to others. He was always fixing things at home and for those who just needed a helping hand. He loved serving by caring for others. He retired from Johnson Control in Vincennes on
Doyle is survived by three daughters - Brenda (Alan) Colvin of Washington, Pam (John) Mangin of Washington and Debbie (Gene) Baker of Alfordsville; one brother Dude (Joann) Sullivan of Washington; ten grandchildren - Dewayne Burress, Natalie Burress Angela Smith, Paul Baker, Katie VanLue, Dustin VanLue, Scott Colvin, Mitch Colvin, Jacqueline Barbes, Allison Taylor; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Doyle was preceded in death by his wife, Lulu Bell (Billings) Sullivan on October 30, 2011 whom he married December 4, 1953; his parents - Roy and Goldie (Hitch) Sullivan; a daughter - Jenny Burress; son in-law, Phil Burress; sisters - Peg Porter, Virginia Layer, Genevive, Guy and Patricia Sullivan; brothers – Bob Sullivan, Dale Sullivan, Leo Sullivan, Morris Sullivan, Woody Sullivan, Donald Sullivan and William Sullivan.
Visitation will be on Monday July 1, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel 620 East Viola Avenue. Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel with Pastor Wayne Neeley officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethany Cemetery.
