Madonna A. Mattingly, age 68, of Washington passed away at 2:45 PM on Tuesday at her residence. She was born on August 14, 1943 in Washington to Arthur and Maudie (Colvin) Russell. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved reading. She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Mattingly; four daughters, Sheryl Lynn Dillman and Debra Annette Gaines both of Washington, Stephanie Campbell of Vincennes, and Rhonda Mattingly of Monroe City; seven grandchildren, Michael (Shauna) Cassidy, Brian Cassidy, Josh Drew, Isaac Drew, Casey Jo Campbell, Nate Campbell, and Tristan Mattingly; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Cassidy and Brayden Cassidy; one expected great granddaughter; two special cousins, Bonnie Foltz and Tom Colvin; and one aunt, Marie Williams of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James R. Phillips on February 11, 1971; her parents; one grandson, Jake Anderson; one brother, Bill Colvin; and her mother and father in-law, Harold and Eva Mattingly.
