Gale E. Butcher age 69 of Washington passed away at 7:05 p.m. Sunday at her residence. She was born July 17, 1939 in Wayne County, Michigan to George 'Jake' and Dorothy (Gohl) Williams. She was a 1957 graduate of Montgomery High School and a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She is survived by two daughters and son in-law, Karen and Bryan Bullock of Cannelburg, and Susan Butcher of Washington; three sons and daughter in-law, John and Judy Butcher of Loogootee Mark W. Butcher and Steven Randall Butcher both of Montgomery; 12 grandchildren Sabrina (Jordan) Stoll, Krystal (Nick) Baker, Heather Butcher, Jeremy Butcher, Justine Butcher, Dustin Butcher, Josh Butcher, Danielle Bullock, Devan Bullock, Randee Butcher, Jordan Butcher, and Marcus Butcher; three great-grandchildren, Amya Stoll, Wyatt Butcher, and Jayden Butcher; two brothers, George (Mary) Williams of Morgantown and Kenny Williams of California; two sisters, Judy Rideout and Mary (Jerry) Greenwell all of Evansville, and several nieces and nephews. . A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery in Montgomery.
