Doris Elaine Reents

Doris Elaine Reents, 86, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa. She was born December 2, 1930, in Aredale, Iowa to Seamey Eugene and Leola Mae (Brown) Hearn. Doris graduated from Dumont High School in Dumont, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Harold Reents on October 6, 1949, in Garner, Iowa. Doris was a member of the Dumont United Methodist Church in Dumont. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping, listening to gospel and country music, cooking new recipes and visiting with family and neighbors. Doris is survived by her son Kevin (Janet) Reents of Newton, granddaughter Ashley (Josh) Oskam of Newton, Christina Berends of Fowler, IL, Dylan Reents of St. Paul, MN, five great grandchildren: Preston, Tristan, Grayson, Presley and Tayten, sister-in-law Margaret Hearn of Hampton, niece Donna (Nick) Reynolds of Hampton, niece Diane Card of Hampton and nephew Verle (Bonnie) Hearn of Olathe, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, son Kent, brothers Delmar and Verle.[more]
